French to English translations [Non-PRO]

French term or phrase: glossopolitique
In an article discussing regional language use in France. Its clearly a linguistics term but I can't find an English equivalent. Language policy is what I thought. It is for an assignment. Target audience is readers of a linguistics journal in the UK.
