Producing catalogues costs a lot of money. I guess producing something that will last longer than 6 months is well worth while.

Marc, do you feel it would be worthyourwhile reading this? Fowler says:
worth-while. This attributive-adjective compound extracted from the phrase 'is worth while' ('a worth-while experiment' from 'the experiment was worth while') is not without its uses; but, having been seized upon as a VOGUE WORD, it is fast losing all precision of meaning ..."
And has lost all precision of spelling atleastasfast, obviously.
To be honest, I started with it as one word, and had it not been for "well" may - er - well have left it that way. Even I, though, would write "a worthwhile 6 months" without qualms or hyphens, even.

Yes, this gives that modern sounding “well + adjective” combination, so beloved of my native London hoodlums and gangleaders (well ‘ard, well sorted, etc.).
Perhaps on reflection well worth while is better…
