French term

maigreur

French to English Medical Medical (general)
I am looking for the correct term for the medical condition referred to in French as "maigreur". Is it underweight? Sounds strange to me, or maybe it's because we don't hear a lot about it these days.

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com May 12, 2005:
I'm afraid that I can't be any more specific than the above... it's a medical condition, so we're probably talking fairly thin!
RHELLER May 12, 2005:
please specify the number of pounds at issue here or the severity of the condition, thanks.
Non-ProZ.com May 12, 2005:
I didn't say, but it appears in a list of medical conditions:
high-blood pressure, hypercholesteraemia, "maigreur"....
