French term or phrase: pas de modification des VBIH ni EH
I know that VBIH is "Voie biliaire intra-hépatique" = "intrahepatic bile duct" and that EH is "encéphalopathie hépathique". However I find 3 different ways to translate EH:

1) hepatic encephalopathy
2) portosystemic encephalopathy
3) portal systemic encephalopathy

On the website http://www.gpnotebook.co.uk/cache/-1087045620.htm and on other sites I see that options 1 and 3 are used as synonyms.

From website:
portal systemic encephalopathy

Hepatic encephalopathy is a metabolic disorder of the central nervous system and neuromuscular system that may complicate liver failure from any cause. It is particularly associated with advanced cirrhosis on account of the diffuse parenchymal damage and portosystemic shunting.

Are these 3 options synonyms? Which one is the best option?

agree  Dr Sue Levy (X): personally, I'd go for hepatic encephalopathy, which is what it was called when I went to medical school back last century ;-)
