French term or phrase: en fouet
This appears in an echocardiography report for a patient with an infected pacemaker.

"echo anormal intra od vermiculaire long en fouet inséré sur un insérépaissement de la sonde vd..."

I am struggling with the sentence on the whole but especially the "en fouet" part in regards to how it fits in this context. Any ideas?
TIA!

vermiculaire may refer to a 'worm-like' thrombus (which may according to this ref form on a Chiari network - however clearly the latter is not specified in your sentence)
