1) avoir déjà acquis, en excluant les crédits octroyés par équivalence en vertu de l'article 4.1.6.2, 12 crédits dans un microprogramme ou un certificat ou 24 crédits dans un programme de baccalauréat;
2) avoir conservé une moyenne cumulative d’au moins 2,4 ;
3) obtenir de sa faculté une autorisation préalable précisant les activités pédagogiques qui pourront être suivies dans
une autre université dans le cadre de son programme.

Celle-ci s’exprime au relevé de notes pas la mention EA (équivalence par autorisation)

How to Document Your Transfer Credits

You must complete a Request for Additional Credit form available at the Student Services Center, 11-120, the Registrar's Office, 5-119, or the HASS Office, 14N-408. This form establishes equivalence between subjects taken elsewhere and those offered at MIT. You will need to collect signatures from the Transfer Credit examiners in the departments granting you credit. The completed form must be submitted to the Registrar's Office by the end of the eleventh week (drop date) of your first term back.

The transfer credit will be processed when both your transcript and the signed Additional Credit form have been received by the Registrar's Office. Transfer credit will appear on your MIT record with a grade of S, rather than a letter grade. This grade is not used in computing your term or cumulative grade point average but the credit will count toward your Institute requirements.

PhD students who have completed 700 level or equivalent course work at other universities may, upon recommendation of their Advisory Committee, include up to 15 credit hours of that graduate work as part of the 30 credit hour requirement. Transfer of credit to the official transcript for such courses is not required, but may be arranged upon request and approval of both the Advisory Committee and the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

PhD students who have completed 700-level courses in the MSc program at U of M may have these courses applied towards the 30 credit hour requirement for the PhD, subject to approval of the Advisory Committee. In such cases, a formal transfer of credit will not apply but the total PhD credit hour requirement will be reduced accordingly, to a minimum of 12 credit hours of course work at the 700 level.
