validation which excludes the current renewal Explanation: Not as simple as it looks. The way I understand it, the authorisations of reference are now being submitted to a validation which does not include (and this from "dont") the current renewal. So, I would translate it as: sont soumises à une validation dont le present renouvellment ne saurait tenir lieu are submitted to a validation which excludes the/this current renewal. I hope it fits your context. Bonne chance! |

...for which purpose this renewal cannot apply/be used Explanation: Looks like there is a requirement that the approvals which were issed before 1/12/76 enabling X to be released onto the market are subject to a [specific] approval, and that this particular renewal cannot serve in this particular instance. Notes : 1 - tenir lieu de : serve as, do as 2 - être soumis à qqchs : be subject to sthng, have to undergo sthng 3 - 'SAVOIR' in the conditional is a very particular thing of course. (NE on its own and in fixed expressions) SAVOIR in the conditional with NE means TO BE ABLE int he negative, thus not be able to (I remembered this although not the specific explanation - had to get my text books out!) Current renewal of validation does not exclude.... Explanation: Even though the French text is in one sentence, you might want to start a new sentence, as given in my answer, to make it clearer. I imagine that what follows this sentence is another requirement from regulatory authorities. Since these drugs were approved a while back and had to go through a validation once, does not mean that the validation will be automatically renewed if other requirements (old or new) are not met. |
