French term

matières actives

French to English Other
I'm having trouble today! Now I need help with a term used in agro-chemistry. The company manufactures "de substances ou matières actives utilisées dans la mise au points de produits agrochemiques".

I agree that this soudns more like something to do with cookery, but it's from the GDT and is apprently the term used in agro-chemistry (see "matière active" - chimie) :

information sur les etiquettes de produits anti-parasitiques

domaine : agro-chimie

Sounds like this might fit the bill.

(Unlike EuroDicAutom which will display results for words which are similar, the GDT may not show any results for a plural or a past participle. I have foudn that it is always worth haviung a stab at a singular form or an infinitive with the GDT).

All the best,

Nikki
