French term or phrase: diffuseur
From a list of requirements in a request for proposals concerning the rental of a temporary stage and audio equipment:
" • Sonorisation
- Un système de son 3 voies assez puissant pour 7500 personnes, incluant :
-- Un système de micros ;
-- Un système de sans-fils de 16 unités incluant des micros bâtons et des boîtiers avec micros-casques et fils pour instruments ;
-- Une console digitale Digico avec un minimum de 96 entrées et 24 sorties ;
-- 20 grands pieds perches noirs ;
-- 20 petits pieds perches noirs ;
-- Multipaire (snake) 3 voies avec transfo :
----- de la scène à la position FOH (minimum 300 pi) ;
----- aux moniteurs (minimum 50 pi) ;
----- au ***diffuseur*** (minimum 50 pi) ;
-- Multipaires pour la scène."

I understand that the client wants to run snakes from the stage to front of house and to the monitors, but what piece of equipment is the "diffuseur" in this context? Thank you very much for all suggestions.
