French term or phrase: PACS
Found this in a French civil status information sheet - There are various questions relating to "mariage civil", "contrat de mariage", "régime matrimonial" etc., and then, the next heading is "PACS" - under which we have "Date d'enregistrement du PACS", "Date du PACS" etc. Any ideas anybody?

English translation:see below
Explanation:
PACS stands for "PActe Civil de Solidarité"

I think I would leave PACS
Hope it helps !

Dear Agnès - Thank you so very much! Perfect for what I needed. Once again, thanks for taking the time to reply - this was the first question that I'd ever posted - and both the responses were right on target. Thanks to the other poster as well. Warm Regards - Sangeeta

Explanation:

This definition comes from the website below which provides much more detail should you need it. As there isn't really an English equivalent, I would leave the acronym as it is.

Sarah
