The term appears in the specifications for gas meters.

"Le *carnet métrologique* RFID se présente sous la forme d’un tag RFID (voir Annexe 1 : Présentation de la technologie RFID) et contient toutes les informations décrites dans l’article annexe 2 de l’Arrêté du 21 octobre 2010 relatif aux compteurs de gaz combustible."

Linguee translates it as "metrological logbook," but I am not convinced.

"Legal metrology concerns activities which result from statutory requirements and concern measurement, units of measurement, measuring instruments and methods of measurement and which are performed by competent bodies."

Logbook seems the perfect translation for "carnet", which implies a book or pages bound together in some other way.

You could even just say "logbook": since it relates to meters, you don't really need to say "metrology".
