hotbeds of contemporary thought Explanation: I like Michelle's "evoloving avenues of contemporary [thought]", with "evolving" capturing something of the essence of a "chantier". However, if you are looking more to capture the idea of "where contemporary or living philosophy is being practised", as you say, then you could ask, "Where are the hotbeds of contemporary thought?" This is a slightly different way of interpreting the question and I, for one, am not sure which is intended. |
