French to English translations [PRO]
Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts) / account of a photojournalist
French term or phrase: compressée

This is a photographer talking:

"Ce soir au bar de l’hôtel ou je viens reprogrammer ma mémoire initiale qui avait été compressée toute la journée, je suis abordé par..."

I'm not familiar with photography jargon and I'm hoping that somebody here is :)

Thank you.

It most probably refers to file compression, which is used to make image files smaller so more with fit on the memory in the camera. These compressed files will need to be de-compressed before editing.

Note that, although commonly used, "compressée" is not the proper word in French --> "comprimée".
