French term or phrase: Désenchanteur
Context :
Nos héros sont des anti-héros, nos hommes des anti-Homme, nos femmes des anti-Femme et nos dieux des anti-Dieu, si bien que nos --- désenchanteurs --- ne sont en réalité que la version moderne de nos enchanteurs, n’ayant plus de subversif que le préfixe.

I'm looking for a proper translation of "désenchanteur". The chosen word should also justify that the author then mentions the "prefix" (in French, the "dé" of "dé-senchanteur".
Does anyone know an English term for "désenchanteur" that includes a negative prefix?

English translation:Disenchanter
Explanation:
After a quick search, I found a wikipedi article about "Disenchantment", and apparently it comes from german Entzauberung. I found several results that refer to Max Weber as being a "disenchanter". According to the wikipedia definition, "disenchantment is the cultural rationalization and devaluation of religion apparent in modern society". Depending on the whole context, you might be able to use "desecrators", as it is also connected to the "devaluation of religion", albeit stronger.
