((after-the-fact suggestion)) Explanation: Sorry I didn't see this query earlier. This is one of those sentences that can't be dissected term-by-term, but needs to be recast as a whole before it can make sense in English. Try this: "This procedure allows the entire French WinInstall software library to be updated for a new package," or "With this procedure, the entire contents of the French WinInstall software library can be updated for a new package." NOTE: The phrase "the entire contents of" could be replaced with "all of the routines in". Useful background info: the WinInstall application uses various routines that are stored in an associated collection, which in programming lingo is commonly referred to as a "library." -- Once again, I'm sorry I wasn't able to answer this question earlier. |
