French term or phrase: avaloir et drageoir
Automotive Industry (NOT AGRICULTURAL)
Specifications for maintenance of jig machinery used to build a car body and rotate it.
Comes from sentence 'Jeu 0,2 à 0,5 mm sur drageoir et > 1 mm sur avaloir.' I can only find agricultural references and home heating references to this word on the Internet. Drageoir seems to refer to some kind of coating and avaloir to a kind of sieve device but I can't relate this to automotive engineering. Thanks in advance for your help

avaloir = feeder drageoir = nest
Explanation:
This seems to relate to a press or stamping machine in which the "avaloir" feeds the material in while the "drageoir" (nest) positions it accurately for cutting or stamping.
A drawing would be useful.

Thanks for your help - as you say a drawing would have made things a lot easier but there wasn't one!
