Colour-printed by laser filmsetting or printed with colour laser filmsetter, or a flashing machine Explanation: "flasher" is defined in my dictionary (Petit Robert) as "Produire (des films, des bromures composes et mis en pages) a l'aide d'une photocomposeuse a laser (flasheuse). Photocomposition is also called "filmsetting". the term "flashing machine" is used on the sites below to translate "flasheuse", but I somewhat prefer the first two translations. For your interest, here is something else I found: "Flashage ou Photogravure : Procédé permettant d'obtenir des films, à partir d'un fichier informatique Postcript, en haute résolution (1270 dpi minimum contre 600dpi pour une sortie laser). "color highlights" Explanation: would be the lay-person's phrase, but "spot color" is the term used in the printing industry. It describes the application of one or more individual areas, each of a specific color, on a printed page (as opposed to four-color process printing with magenta, cyan, yellow, and black inks, which yields full-color images). (personal experience; I used to specify and buy large-scale commercial printing projects in San Francisco...) |
