I'm sure people still use the term "chit", but it's the wrong register for use here (too informal). The lorry driver could refer to the loading slip as a "loading chit" (even if giving evidence in court) and everyone would understand them. So, the expression could be used verbally or in reported speech, but not in a business document.

Oh yes! I wonder if that is still used these days? Back in my days in industry, it was very common, but I suspect it may perhaps be going out of fashion these days?
And in informal language, these were also often referred to as 'chitty / chitties'; have often wondered where the term came from? Perhaps a sort of diminutive of 'sheet'?

Interestingly enough, I came across the British term "chit": note giving information or receipt.

Having said that, I agree with "loading slip" which is probably a lot more common and not restricted to UK.
