French term

corolle

French to English Marketing Wine / Oenology / Viticulture
From the description of a sparkling wine:

Ce blanc de blanc, à la robe jaune claire, se distingue par ses corolles effervescentes plutôt abondantes.

Seems odd to talk about corolla (an individual grape flower before it blossoms)
I also found a ref that refers to the corolla as a whorl of petals. Thought I could perhaps talk about the whorls of bubbles or beads in the wine...
Any suggestions are more than welcome!

If it's just the paper collar... below the _coiffe_, it's called a "neck band" on the official Champagne site: https://www.champagne.fr/en/from-vine-to-wine/labelling/foil...

Bubbles (misprint for bulles?)

I know it seems a bit far-fetched, but I've seen stranger things......
Since the quality of a sparkling wine is judged on the size of the bubbles and their persistence, this makes the most sense, especially as it's used in the plural (corolles abondantes).

Perhaps you ought to check with the author.........
