Montello a raison: en France, major est l\'equivalent à \"Sub-Oficial\" au Brésil. Mais au Canada et en Suisse c\'est comme dans le reste du monde, c\'est à dire: lieutenant, capitain, major, colonel, etc. Regardez ces examples:

disagree  decurion: Dans l'Armée française, le major n'est pas un officier ! Il correspond au sargento-mor do Exército português.
