Правду сказать, ни один ответ не "ложится", но аргумент Гугла важен и оказался поучительным. Очевидно, dans plus d'une и dans plus q'une - две небольшие разницы. В первом случае можно просто перевести (примеры в Гугле это подтверждают)"во многих", "во всякой", "в каждой". Во втором случае предпочтительно "более чем" - и оно как раз не ложится в текст.
У меня получилось: "В каждой (душевной) травме заключена некая сила, и это удесятеряет их". (Выходит, чем сильнее искалечен человек, тем больше в нем силы. Что-то в этом есть?)
