Le mot "mención" pris seul signifie surtout "option". Par exemple, dans mon cas, j'ai un DEUG de Langues Etrangères Appliquées Option Aglais/Espagnol. En espagnol, on dirait donc, para exemple, Licenciatura de Letras Mención Francés.
