he encontrado "vela habitable", pero no me convence mucho... ¿Se os ocurre otra cosa más "habitual"?

Esto es lo que dice la wikipedia:
Pour décrire de manière plus globale les types d'engin à voile sur l'eau, on préfère souvent parler de "voile légère", et de "voile habitable".

Dans la "voile légère", on aura :

* des planches à voile,
* des dériveurs (Optimist, 420, 470, 505, 49er, Skiffs, Ponant, Caravelle, ... la liste esttrès longue),
* des quillards de sport (tempest, Open 5.70, Star, Soling, etc...),
* et des multicoques (le plus souvent des catamarans, mais quelques trimarans de série sont produits ; Hobbie Cat 16, formules 18, etc...).

Pour "la voile habitable", il y a le terme habitable qui est explicite, et on y distingue :

* les monocoques (dériveurs intégraux, dériveurs lestés, quillards),
* les multicoques (trimarans, catamarans, praos pacifiques, praos atlantiques).
