The preceding line explains how brands are increasing their media investment with a subsequent rise in the number of ads (specifically print ads here). Newcomers to the market are also adding their adverts to the "paysage publicitaire".
Hello Sandra, Rob deserves the points! I think that "landscape" fits much better than "scene", the former better describes business, the latter is more appropriate for art, and though advertisement may be regarded by some as art, your context is business.
To my great shame, it never even occurred to me that this could have a literal equivalent (or that the French be a literal translation of the English, perhaps). I guess I need go no further. Now the tricky issue of points...
