Talking of Russian post-Soviet artists. Bit stuck. Thought of "staging" but don't think that goes with "posture culturelle"...

The text seems to be listing ways that certain individuals have responded to (whatever it is they're talking abount...). For Schekhovtsov, and to keep something of the theatrical jargon, I suggest spot-lighting - in the sense of focussing on, drawing attention to, the cultural posture.

I found this:

For Vinogradov and Dubossarsky, by humanizing our demigods by the game of roles. For Olga Tobreluts, by deporting them to a mythological space. For Mamyshev-Monroe, by usurping their identity. **For Schekhovtsov, by questioning State architectonics,** or for Savadov, by sobering up the systems of totalitarian intimidation. Through this salutary catharsis (primary function of the carnival, by inversion of the social roles), an impertinent distorsion of the Western imaginary is obtained.

neutral  Robin Levey: According to the French version, is was Koshlyakov (following sentence of source text) who questioned State architectonics; the phrase about Schekhovtsov is missing. (Maybe that's why asker is asking about it...).

I see it as him giving a context (his art) to the cultural position in question:

by depicting their cultural position

reconsider / reshape / re-position / remodel

IMHO your question deals with what S.Schekhovtsov developed as his personal artistic response to the cultural environment. That's why i'm suggesting the above ))

And a bit more on the issue:

Russian Transversalists - as those postmodern artists are called - aimed at reconstructing new myths after a long period of official hypocrisy. So they were actually remodelling the fundamental cultural principles and re-positioning the doctrinaire belief.

...Ideologically incorrect figuration calling for demythification / demystification of a system of values based on heroism (economical, moral, political, athletic, sexual), this practice of destabilization by medley tends to reconsider the commemorative principle by an attempt at cultural departitioning...
