French to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary / theater
French term or phrase:projets de costumes / maquettes de costumes
I'm confused about the difference between the two. Is "projet" the sketch, while "maquette" is the actual costume (the "model")? These appear in a list of opera museum library collections. One phrase says, "maquettes de decors par (list of designers)", which is why I'm wondering if "maquettes" here refers to sketches or designs, too.
