Does "primeur" here mean a preview or glimpse? And does "livre-objet" mean "a book or object"?

Thanks for your help, Nikki. I found "luxury book" for "livre-objet" in Termium, but your translation sounds like the right one for this context. Karen

"... introducing his new exposition featuring..."/book as an artifact, book as work of art

Explanation:
"primeur" means something new. In advertisement, when they say "En primeur!", the English version would be "Introducing a new (such and such a product, etc.)!"

Examples (there are tons!):

"Introducing a new resource for career counsellors"
www.ccdf.ca/what_s_new.html

'Introducing The New Slashdot Setup."
slashdot.org/articles/00/05/18/1427203.shtml

"Introducing the New Proformer Series"
www.harmony-central.com/Newp/2000/Proformer.html

As for "livre-objet":

This one talks about an activity book used in kindergarten:

"A partir du thème " Autrefois ...
Demain " nos avons décidé de
fabriquer un livre -objet, en volume,
qui s'ouvre, se ferme, s'anime."
http://www.ac-grenoble.fr/ecole.michelet.valence/livre_objet...

But I think it means more something like an artifact or a work or art:

See some photos illustrating what a "livre-objet" is.
http://www.ac-rouen.fr/colleges/picasso-gisors/s/pardipedago...

Also have a look at the site that talks about
" CALLIGRAPHIE ET REALISATION D'UN LIVRE OBJET "
http://www.afpalim.tm.fr/erpl/programme/c2.htm
