Sorry if I have offended you, but given that it was a song-title (by the Pixies, I believe), the "escape from" idea meaning "elude", "outwit" did not work in context. The "cheat" idea, which you had considered and eliminated, rang true. I hope this fuller explanation is sufficient.

The zero-grade possibility exists and I too have had answers zero-graded in the past. I have also had the one and the same answer receive a zero and a four grade.
