I was the one who zero-graded your answer. Sorry if I have offended you, but given that it was a song-title (by the Pixies, I believe), the "escape from" idea meaning "elude", "outwit" did not work in context. The "cheat" idea, which you had considered and eliminated, rang true. I hope this fuller explanation is sufficient.
