handpainted miniature
Madeline Fox
miniature on ivory
Explanation:
SURELY this must be a typo, since miniatures were originally (and still occasionally are) painted on this material

Interestingly enough, I tried a Google on \'looire\', and it\'s horrifiying just how many typos there are --- mainly for \'Loire\' (or even \'Loir) of course, but interestingly enough, quite a few for (Côte) d\'Ivoire, which only goes to confirm my thoughts --- it doesn\'t look like a keyboard-related errro, I can only assume it comes from poor handwriting, or an OCR error...

I didn\'t look through exhaustively, but so far I haven\'t come across a single Google where it is in fact a real word!
