French term or phrase: spread
Hello All, I've translated the following sentence, but it sounds too 'French'. Would appreciate any help on this. Must be brain dead. As always, thanks in advance:

"Il est impossible de demander aux chefs de file de s’engager sur un spread pendant deux ou trois semaines au risque de lancer une émission à des conditions hors marché."

English translation:to commit themselves to a spread for 2 or 3 weeks...
Explanation:
Seems pretty straightforward to me. They allow for a wider margin for 2-3 weeks and that's a risk.
