French term or phrase: retour d'experience
The Company recently moved into the Spanish market. Ceci a permis un retour d'expérience très important et la première étape d'un déploiement de plus grande envergure notamment sur les principales places européennes.

What on earth are they talking about in the first clause?????

English translation:"gain [or: 'added dimension'] of experience"
Explanation:
... "This [or: 'Serving this new market', or: 'Lessons learned in serving this new market] has[have] opened the way for X's significant gain of experience, and for its first stage of a larger expansion"...

"Feedback" is probably a more accurate translation, but sounds too casual and source-specific in English.

Another possibility you might be able to work with: "a broader marketing intelligence".

Cheers!

Domaine(s)
– Atomic Physics
– Atomic Energy Control Board

Domaine(s)
– Physique atomique
– Commission de contrôle de l'énergie atomique

operating experience feedback CORRECT
retour des expériences en exploitation

Or at least it could be a lead.

Best of luck,
