French term or phrase: valeur liquidative
Again a prospectus, talking about the value of the securities on offer. I have found several possible translations: net asset value, cash-in value, settlement value, but don't know which is right in this context.

net asset value (ab)
Measure of worth of a company calculated by taking the total assets, less all balance sheet liabilities and prior capital, such as debentures, loan stock, and preferred stock. (b)
Note(s): This residual is divided by the number of shares issued to give the net asset value per share. This computation is particularly significant for valuing the share of investment trust companies. Also used to calculate the underlying value for units in mutual funds (which may be different from the bid or offered prices quoted to investors). Sometimes called "net asset worth", "net worth", or "shareholders' equity", or just "equity". The "net asset value per share" is the net asset value divided by the number of shares in issue. It is a measure of the surplus based on accounting or current market values that, in theory, would be repaid to shareholders in a break-up of the company or portfolio. (b)

Abréviation(s):
NAV (b)

cash-in value

Explanation:
It sounds like it literally means "cashable" value; the amount available if cashed in. Incidentally, I have never heard of "jour ouvre'" for business hours; we have always used "ouvrable". Are there other irregularities in the text which explain the difficulty translating this term?

net asset value

Explanation:
I'm sure that for Quebec French it's net asset value if the context is mutual funds. Mutual funds have their net asset value calculated on a regular basis to determine th purchase price of each mutual fund unit.

While I can't confirm this for French from France, the context seems to fit perfectly. If in doubt, and you don't get any more firm answers, I would opt for "net asset value".
