no difference, see further /securities lending Explanation: never worked in a bank so i went to grandictionnaire as usually, it gives the translation: securities lending (that's the official term now have a look at the definition pret de titres = emprunt de titres dans le bloc de titres deposes chez 1 intermediaire lorsq'un client realise 1 vente a decouvert et qu'il doit livrer les titres a 1 contrepartie on l'appelle "pret de titres" mais c'est un "emprunt" vu de l'autre cote (symetrie!!!) hope it helps |

securities lending, securities borrowing Explanation: When an institution transfers securities against collateral with the agreement that the receiving party (the counterparty) will return equivalent securities at some future date, this is "securities lending" (pret de titres) for the institution transfering the securities and "securities borrowing" (emprunt de titres) for the institution the securities are transfered to. I hope these very general definitions help you to find the right terms. lba Reference: http://europa.eu.int/eurodicautom/ |
