French term or phrase: demande solvable ou solvabilisee
I understand what this means but am not sure how to word it. Any ideas? This is from a document about the pricing of essential drugs and how prices could be lowered in developing countries: "L'une des hypotheses de ce travail est en effet que des prix plus bas des medicaments rencontreraient plus facilement une demande solvable ou solvabilisee localement." Thanks, Karen

demand that can be met /or/ that can be backed by purchasing power
Explanation:
French: demande solvable = English: demand that can be met OR that can be backed by purchasing power

Given your context, I am sure it is rather the latter definition.

= (...) would more readily encounter a demand that can be backed by local purchasing power

solvent or creditworthy local demand

Explanation:
bonne chance
