French term or phrase: pointent a l'horizon
"L'avenir se presente d'autant mieux pour X (airline company) qu'elle a conclu avec ses syndicats des accords pour une duree de seize mois alors que ses homologues connaissent, actuellement, des fortunes diverses dans les negotiations et que les preavis de greves pointent a l'horizon." Any suggestions for "pointent a l'horizon"? Thanks, Karen

English translation:are looming on the horizon
Explanation:
"pointer à l'horizon" is a colloquial expression meaning "starting to appear", "show up". There is a notion that whatever it is is just begining to/just about to appear, that something looks like it is on the way.

Perhaps the last bit of your sentence could be translated thus :

"...whereas/at a time when its counterparts are currently experiencing varying fortunes in negotiations and (when) strike notices are looming on the horizon".
