closed-end fund

Explanation:
Looks like Parrot and Frédérique are right and that I got it the wrong way round.

closed-end fund :
A fund with a fixed number of shares outstanding, and one which does not redeem shares the way a typical mutual fund does. Such funds are often listed on a major stock exchange and trade like other securities. Unlike a typical mutual fund, a closed-end fund's share price can trade above or below its net asset value. also called closed-end investment company or publicly-traded fund. see also closed fund, investment trust, open-end fund, discount, premium

closed fund :
An open-end mutual fund that has temporarily or permanently suspended sale of shares to new customers, usually due to rapid asset growth. Outstanding shares are still accepted for redemption by the fund. see also closed-end fund.

open-end fund :
same as mutual fund. A closed-end fund is often incorrectly referred to as a mutual fund, but is actually an investment trust.
