French term or phrase: intitulé d'inventaire
This term is in a company's articles of association with regard to the transfer of shares following the death of a member:

"... les héritiers, ayants-droit et conjoint doivent justifier de leur qualité dans les trois mois du décès par la production de l'expédition d'un acte de notoriété or de l'extrait d'un INTITULE D'INVENTAIRE".

Does anyone know if there is an equivalent English translation for this term? Many thanks.

1 Quels documents/justificatifs doivent être produits?

en cas de transfert par succession:

1 Which supporting documents must be filed?

transfer by succession: notarised document or abstract of the inventory :

Art. 18 PL
Art. 37 SO No. 1476

Notes :

- The word "probate" refers to a certificate issued by the Family Division of the High Court, on the applicaiton of thee executors appointed under a will, to the effect that the will is held valid and that the executors are authorized to administer the decesaed estate. (Oxford Dictionary of Law, OUP). A certificate of probate does not list the estate of a deceased person.

- A death certificate issued by a doctor is the document which certifies the death.

- Julia is right when she says that "inventory" is the same as "inventaire" here. According to my faithful and recent Oxford Dic of Law, an inventory is : "a detailed list of assets or property. [...] Under the Administration of Estates Act 1925, personal representatives must produce on oath an inventory of the deceased person's estate when called upon by the court (this duty is effectively discharged by lodging an Inland Revenue Account)." Thus this temr may also work in your contex, although I am not sure how this functions in your source country.

Certificate of probate

Explanation:
granddictionnaire gives:

inventory inventaire n. m.

Déf. :
État descriptif et estimatif du patrimoine d'une personne physique à une date donnée et, plus particulièrement, de sa succession à son décès.

I don't believe their is an exact equivalent in the UK. It refers to an inventory of the deceased's estate, which is published some time after the death occurred.

In England, you would get some kind of probate document, which is the nearest equivalent I can think of, given the context (which merely requires proof of death, not contents of the estate).

Inventory Title or Inventory Listing

Explanation:
I think they are talking about the listing of the things that belonged to the person who is now dead.

Les héritiers vont déjà justifier le décès par la production de l'expédition d'un acte de notoriété donc ils ont seulement besoins de faire preuve de tout ce qui appartenait à la personne décèdée..... J'espère que cela vous rendra service...
