French to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
French term or phrase:adhérents en procédure contentieuse
In an annual report for an IT company, 'créances douteuses adhérents compromises' seems to refer to bad debts from parties involved in litigation against the company?
"Le compte « créances douteuses adhérents compromises » enregistre les sommes dues par les adhérents en procédure contentieuse."
Does this IT company have something with "members"? Because then, adherents would mean the members..I have never seen adherent to mean party to a suit..But i could of course be wrong..It's either members or people who settled out of court, IMO
You should ask the client, IMO..I think it';s adherents en procedure non-contentieuse..they agreed to pay x amount in an out-of-court settlement and then reneged on it...a plain own party to a suit is not an adherent, IMO
