I agree with Phil. While there might only be one shareholder, there could still be a Board within the company (as you mention there is a Chairman), so it doesn't mean that there isn't a meeting of people because there's only one shareholder. There could be other directors and a secretary at the meeting. Also, as it's a formality, there's no harm in keeping the correct name.

this appears to be a formal call for shareholders' meeting
I think you should stick to the ordinary terminology for calling the general meeting, formalities are very important...

With Phil and Shilpa, that 'Notice of Meeting' is still correct here.

In any event, I think your own suggestion would be a risky departure — by no stretch of imagination does 'avis de convocation' mean the agenda for the meeting, and your suggestion inevitably suggests it would be a list of the decisions to be taken (which, even if it is included, is still only fortuitous).

It's also possible that this is just a legal fiction - one-person limited companies are still required to have annual "meetings".

I would still use "Notice of meeting". There will at least be 2 persons i.e. the Chariman and the Shareholder, which is enough for a meeting, so why not.

What's wrong with "notice of meeting"? Presumably the shareholder or their representative isn't going to be sitting in a room on their own - if the chairman is sending the notice, they're presumably going to be there too, and someone will need to take the minutes.
Alternatively, if "meeting" is out of the question, why not "notice of convocation"?
