Science - Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng / Chemical Patent
French term or phrase: réduit à un pic
Can anyone help with the translation of this phrase in French? The document is a French Patent Application for a method of creating new phosphonates.

I am not sure how to translate this phrase correctly into English as it seems to be a contradiction (reduced to a peak). I found a translation of "pic" as "methylpiridine", but I hesitate to use this as it seems quite far fetched.

Here is the full sentence:

Le spectre des produits obtenus se réduit à un pic à (theta) = 211.9 ppm.

Thanks in advance,
Laura
