Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / report prior to renovation of a building
French term or phrase: immerger
Hi all!

I wonder if anyone can tell me what 'immerger' means in this sentence. It's from a list of measures that have to be taken following a report on the existing condition of a building prior to renovation work:

**Immerger** le mur coupe feu existant en toiture de 1m.

I thought 'immerger' was immerse or submerge but there doesn't seem to be any liquid involved here. Could it mean 'enfoncer'?

Many TIA

agree  Sylvia Smith: Ah! So "immerger" in this case meens to "join into", so to speak? Thank you for the clarification, very helpful.

agree  xxxBourth: No "joining" involved, just "extend", to make it difficult for fire to "jump over" the wall, from one section of the building to the next.
