French term or phrase: battues
Tous les vitrages de la nouvelle construction devront être feuilletés. Cette mesure implique une modification de toutes les battues des façades initialement prévues. De plus, les vitrages des façades du rez-de-chaussée et des deux premiers niveaux du bâtiment devront non seulement être feuilletés mais également sécurisés.

Could someone kindly tell me what "les battues" are please?
