French term or phrase: Chef de partie froide puis second de cuisine
I'm helping a French friend write his CV in English.
He's now a chef in a gourmet French restaurant.
This was one of his jobs when he was starting out.
I think (only think) that the translation into English might be something along the lines of "Chef for cold dishes then second (or assistant??) to the chef.
What do you guys think.

Second de cuisine sounds like what we call a sous-chef here in the US. Chef de partie froide might, possibly, be what we call garnisher, but for that I'm just guessing.

Thanks Emile I've also had confirmation from another source that it is in fact "sous-chef". For "partie froide" I've opted for "cold dishes" but there may exist another more technical term.
