French to English translations [PRO] Cosmetics, Beauty
French term or phrase:des actifs puisés au sein de la nature
bon clair le sens mais en faire qque chose d'un peu palatable en anglais, je sèche
Il s'agit d'une gamme de crèmes pour le visage... bon certes, il y a issued, originating in and the like... but can anyone find me something more worthy of being printed on packaging
Sorry if infringing rules by asking for 2 phrases, but how on earth can I separate them
To recap c'est puisé et actifs mon souci!
If anyone objects will put in separate questions
..so I think you can be quite flexible, especially as it's clear here that they are natural ingredients. 'Active ingredients' from nature (i.e. harnessing plants' healing or other properties) is a powerful concept- IMHO you shouldn't stray too far from it
Regarding the translation of 'actifs' - In my glossary from a major cosmetics company, several translations are given, including agent, active agent, ingredient, active ingredient. For example, 'actif végétal' is given as 'plant based active ingredient'.
Hi Catherine, Just a comment: isn't it dangerous in cosmetics to use the term active ingredients? Wouldn't that tip you over into the realm of medicinal products and require safety & efficacy testing? I just use agents for actifs in cosmetics.

actifs = active ingredients (en langage codé) puisés = taken from
Explanation: active ingredients "plucked" from nature
