French to English translations [PRO] Education / Pedagogy / Academic Section
French term or phrase:2e Technique inf. MECANIQUE
This is the the name of the section. Not sure if "inf." is "inferieure" (as opposed to "superieure").
Is it Congo-Brazzaville or Congo-Kinshasa? The first used to be French ant therefore will probably follow the French curriculum, the other one was Belgian and will have a high school curriculum based on the Belgian one.
Unfortunately can't access this one either! What is the meaning of @eme technique? Is it the same as "Technical College" ??
As far as where the document is from, it is the Congo.
If anyone can shed some light on this, I am getting desperate and this paper is due tomorrow ( and it is night-time here already!!)
-or one of the bacs technologiques. I have to add that my suggestion is only a feeling (otherwise I'd have proposed it as an answer)... but a 2de inférieure (or supérieure for that matter!) definitely does not exist in France!
Reference information: Sorry Valosh, don't know what's happening with my links. Unfortunately I can only answer for France.
The 2de technologique is one of the possibilities in 2de (so it is in a lycée - either lycée technologique, or lycée général et technologique), not in a technical college. In 1ère and Terminale, this student would no doubt go to a Lycée professionnel to prepare a Baccalaureate in mechanics
quote from the Min. of Education site:...
"Au programme de la seconde générale et technologique, les élèves suivent des enseignements communs mais ils doivent choisir deux enseignements de détermination et une option facultive. En fin de 2de, ceux sont ces choix qui l'aident à opter pour un bac général ou technologique."
I copy again - these are two of the options which may be offered in 2de
