My Framatome dictionary gives "thermowell". It may be more accurate technically

oil-filled pocket

Explanation:
I have come across this term several times when translating documents about transformers; the temperature sensor (thermometer) is placed in an oil filled pocket instead of directly in the oil.
this term was confirmed by my client, a major transfo manufacturer.
I assume the same term is used in your context.

neutral  Philippe Etienne: oil filling may be application-specific. The pocket itself just protect the sensor from the outside environment (corrosive, foamy, cloggy...)
