L'invention concerne un appareil electrique modulaire tel un disjoncteur destine a etre fixe de maniere amovible sur un rail de montage, ledit appareil etant compose d'au moins un module et etant loge dans un bOltier de forme sensiblement parallelepipedique, ledit bOltier comprenant une face arriere de fixation au rail, deux faces principales paralleIes entre elles et perpendiculaires a la face arriere, par lesquelles I'appareil peut etre accole a d'autres appareils sur Ie rail, une face avant, deux faces Iaterales paralleles entre elles et perpendiculaires a la face arriere et aux faces principales, dont l'une au moins, dite face de raccordement, comporte des bornes de raccordement, chaque module renfermant une unite de coupure d'une phase ou du neutre, chaque module comportant sur la face de raccordement precitee une borne de raccordement a ladite unite de coupure et un emplacement, la borne et I'emplacement etant decales suivant la profondeur du bOltier, les bornes et emplacements d'un meme niveau de profondeur etant separes deux a deux d'une distance correspondant sensiblement a la larger d'un module.
