French term or phrase:balisage botanique
I need help with "balisage botanique" which is part of environmental protection measures adopted when executing a renewable energy (wind) project.
My wording intended to reflect the idea that the limitations or parameters are dictated by nature. Windmill installation ought to respect the environment and take into account the impact on nature. Is there a 'one word' for it? I don't know. I found an expression to equal the idea of 'balisage botanique'...botanically parametered??
Baliser means to mark out, as in a path. I think there are two possibilities: identifying protected species to make sure they're not damaged by work on the site, or labelling them for the benefit of visitors. Does the word appear anywhere else in the document?
Thanks, Catharine.
