Allowance for impairment on _____ holdings
Explanation:
If they're talking about 'dépréciations', they're talking about impairment losses, a.k.a. write-downs. "Allowance for impairment" is acceptable and easier to swallow than "loss".
Unless the securities in question include a mix of equity and debt instruments, it's hard to imagine how any amortisation can be involved, but "allowance" works for that, too.
Unless the 'participation' includes non-financial assets, it's hard to imagine how any depreciation can be involved, but "allowance" works for that as well.
