French to English translations [PRO] Furniture / Household Appliances / battery
French term or phrase:bord nervure
This is talkin about batteries in a household appliance i think
1) Ouvrir le couvercle du compartiment de la pile en appuyant
sur le bord nervuré et tirer le compartiment de la pile
what does this mean the ribbed edge of the battery? obviously talking about removing the battery but not sure on the middle bit of ths sentence
Explanation: You could use ribbed, but I think flanged might better describe it. And it is the edge of the compartment rather than the battery. The slightly raised edge helps give you purchase on it to push it open.
